The Aedes albopictus mosquito, commonly known as the tiger mosquito, which transmits diseases (arboviruses) such as dengue, chikungunya, and Zika, is now established throughout all departments of the Île-de-France region, particularly in densely populated areas. In light of this situation, vector control is a public health priority to limit the risk of transmission of these arboviruses.
Produced in collaboration with the Île-de-France Regional Unit of Santé publique France, this infographic presents the regional situation in 2025 and highlights the main areas for action.
