Breast Cancer in Women: Incidence and Mortality, France 2000

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in Western countries. In France, regional and national incidence estimates have been calculated using data from cancer registries that cover 13% of the population. The objective of this article is to describe the temporal and geographic variations in breast cancer incidence and mortality among women in France, based on estimates from the French network of cancer registries (Francim).
