COVID-19 in France. Update as of September 11, 2024.
Key Points
In week 36, syndromic indicators showed a slight increase in the community and remained stable in hospitals.
Virological indicators have remained generally stable for several weeks.
In wastewater, an upward trend in SARS-CoV-2 circulation was observed.
However, indicators reflecting active SARS-CoV-2 circulation since June 2024 remained at levels lower than those observed during the last winter season.
Adhering to preventive measures remains an effective way to protect against respiratory infections and their complications and to limit the risk of transmission to others, particularly vulnerable individuals: wearing a mask if symptoms are present and regular handwashing are therefore recommended.
