17 Girls: Pregnant at 17... A Dream Come True?

The film *17 Girls* is loosely based on a true story that took place in the United States. Driven by a collective fascination with a determined teenager, seventeen high school girls decide to get pregnant at the same time, following their friend’s lead. Behind this decision lies an irrepressible desire to exist, to stand out from their parents, to “create” a significant event, to give meaning to a narrow existence and a world with no future prospects, and above all, to not give up on their dreams as some adults have done. These are some of the motivations of this group of girls, determined to experience pregnancy as an adventure full of promise.
