The 2005 Health Barometer examines the health of the French population.

The French consider themselves well-informed about the dangers of addictive substances (tobacco, cannabis, alcohol), AIDS prevention, contraception, and cancer. On the other hand, they consider themselves insufficiently informed about the state of the environment (air and water pollution) as well as depression. These are some of the findings of the Health Barometer recently published by INPES after surveying thirty thousand people.[article excerpt]
