Cystic Fibrosis: Learning to Cope as You Grow Up.

Six thousand people have cystic fibrosis in France. Patient education can significantly improve these individuals’ quality of life. At the initiative of the association “Vaincre la mucoviscidose,” 150 healthcare providers from the 49 cystic fibrosis resource and expertise centers (CRCMs) across the country have been trained in therapeutic education activities since 2004. The stakes are high: to develop the child’s understanding of the disease and their self-care skills in order to empower them to live better with their condition.
