Economic analyses that support investment in prevention
Given limited public resources, it has become crucial to prioritize the most effective health promotion programs, based on economic studies. Several approaches exist, such as cost-effectiveness analysis, which uses a non-monetary indicator: healthy life years gained. The choice of screening test for colorectal cancer prevention is instructive in this regard.
