Health Impact Assessment: A Valuable Tool for Urban Planning Professionals.

Introduced more than twenty years ago, health impact assessment (HIA) aims to determine, at an early stage, whether a project is likely to have positive or negative effects on health, so that improvements can be made if necessary. This small revolution has enabled health promotion professionals to join the table alongside urban planners, developers, residents, and policymakers.
