Health Promotion: An Overview of the Current State of Information in France.
Promoting people’s health also means giving them the broadest possible access to information about their own health, as the Ottawa Charter—a leading reference in this field—strongly emphasizes. In France, recent public health laws have strengthened patients’ right to be informed about their health status and, beyond that, the broader right of the public to access reliable information. However, as the High Council for Public Health noted in 2009, while data sources are numerous, they remain difficult to access.
