In France, a health service for healthcare students (SESS) has been in operation throughout the country since the 2018–2019 academic year. The goal is twofold: first, to train future healthcare professionals in the principles and challenges of prevention and health promotion; and second, to combat regional inequalities by engaging students in concrete actions to support the most vulnerable populations.
