The Netherlands is testing several initiatives to promote health starting in elementary school. Among these, the Olweus violence prevention program—which has been implemented in other countries—has been adapted to the local context and is yielding undeniable results. The goal of these initiatives is to foster a culture of health promotion in schools. Nearly two thousand elementary schools are participating.
