People aged 60 to 75 are just as happy as younger people.

Contrary to a deeply ingrained societal perception, the majority of people aged 60 to 75 believe they have a good quality of life, just as good as that of younger generations (aged 40–60). This is one of the findings of the latest INPES Health Barometer survey, published in 2006. It also shows that socioeconomic factors—such as marital status or income level—are decisive in how they perceive their quality of life, more so than the decline in physical health associated with advancing age.
