Promoting a culture of health. An interview with Marc Danzon.
Commenting on the data and conclusions of the recent report on the health of the French population, Dr. Danzon, General Delegate of the CFES, outlines his ideas on how to address health issues and their risk factors (regulation, education, economic measures). He discusses lung cancer, household accidents involving children, and suicide, and highlights the essential role of communication. Special mention is made of addressing the specific needs of the most disadvantaged. He also reviews the anti-smoking policies of European countries, which are moving toward the comprehensive approach advocated by the WHO.
