Simply collecting observational data is not enough to reduce inequality. [Interview]
Trained in the "hard" sciences, Thierry Lang became a specialist in social inequalities in health and gradually developed an interest in the humanities and intervention research. As the founder of the AAPRISS intervention research program, he recounts his journey as a researcher. To ensure that interventions aimed at reducing inequalities are effective, he advocates for a collaborative approach with policymakers and frontline practitioners. And he advocates for researchers to work across disciplines.
