Social experiments and the health of young people in local employment programs.

Bringing together employment professionals, public health researchers, and economists to address the issue of youth health within the Mission Locale framework was a three-year initiative led by the Mission Locale de Sénart, Inserm, and Crest. The PresaJe project was carried out amid its share of difficulties and pleasant surprises, with a common goal—youth health—but differing approaches and cultures, and a unique research context: support for employment integration. This collaboration was therefore not a natural fit, but a deliberate choice given the importance of the issue at hand, and it proved beneficial to all stakeholders.
