Social marketing and public health: two Canadian examples.

Canada is one of the pioneers in social marketing. François Lagarde is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Montreal and an expert on this concept. He presents a concrete application of it within two Canadian public health programs: first, promoting physical activity in a province by engaging schools, municipalities, and workplaces; and second, combating smoking by developing interventions by physicians.
