Characteristics of crack users in Guadeloupe.

Crack use has become a public health issue in Guadeloupe. A study highlights the precarious circumstances of users, curiosity as the reason for starting use at an average age of 24, immediate addiction to the drug, and a desire to quit among the majority of these users; the latter spend an average of 457 euros per month to obtain it. This study provides valuable insights for adjusting the treatment system, which is currently centered on three specialized treatment centers.
