The "Nicolle" survey, conducted among 4,112 individuals aged 18 to 79 and 2,027 private-practice physicians, examines knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors regarding infectious disease risks. The authors of this book analyze risk perception, hygiene practices, knowledge about influenza and pandemic risks, foodborne infections, zoonoses, vaccine prevention, and infections contracted during medical care or travel abroad. This survey provides a better understanding of the expectations of the general public and healthcare professionals, as well as the barriers to certain practices. The survey’s “general population” and “general practitioners and pediatricians” questionnaires are provided in full at the end of the book.
