Anonymous and Free HIV Testing Clinics (CDAG): 2001 and 2002 Activity Reports on HIV Testing in France. National Surveillance of Infectious Diseases, 2001–2003

Key Findings - The proportion of positive HIV test results is twice as high in anonymous and free testing settings compared to the overall HIV testing system in France (5 positive tests per 1,000 tests conducted). - The Antilles-Guyane and Île-de-France regions are the most affected. - The proportion of positive diagnoses among women in the most affected age group (30–39 years) is rising sharply and exceeds that of men of the same age. - The rate of positive tests appears to be decreasing in prisons.
