HIV Testing. The Fight Against HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in France. 10 Years of Surveillance, 1996–2005
- A decline in the annual number of HIV serology tests between 1994 and 1997, followed by an increase through 2005 (5.3 million). - 85 HIV serology tests performed per 1,000 inhabitants in 2005. - A sharp decline in the number of positive test results during the 1990s, followed by an increase since 2001 and stabilization in 2005 (around 11,600). - Significant regional disparities, with French Guiana, Guadeloupe, and the Île-de-France region remaining the most affected.
