Key points: - 286 to 365 cases per year in mainland France and 260 to 357 in the overseas departments and territories; - slight annual fluctuations in mainland France and few monthly fluctuations from one year to the next; - in mainland France, the highest incidence is in Aquitaine, Lower Normandy, and Champagne-Ardennes; - 25% of cases caused by the Icterohaemorrhagiae serogroup and 20% by the Grippotyphosa serogroup.; (R.A.)
