Key Points - Week 39 (September 24–30, 2018)
Nationwide, four weeks after the start of the school year, emergency room visits and visits to SOS Médecins clinics for asthma among children are decreasing (by 12.4% and 8.8%, respectively). In emergency rooms, the proportion of hospitalizations following visits for asthma remains stable compared to last week.
In the Indian Ocean, six weeks after the start of the school year, emergency room visits for asthma among children have decreased slightly (-7.7%) but remain slightly higher than in the same period over the past three years.
