Public Health France Conference 2019: An Engaging Fourth Edition
Every year, Santé publique France organizes the "Santé publique France Conference."
For the 2019 edition, which will take place from June 4 to 6, more than 1,250 people are expected to attend over the course of these three days for a program featuring conferences, workshops, and interactive seminars. The goal is to facilitate peer-to-peer exchange and the sharing of experiences in public health, focusing on health surveillance, preventive measures, and response to public health emergencies.
For this annual event, Santé publique France invites all professionals involved in the health, prevention, social services, and education sectors (public health practitioners, institutional representatives, scientists, associations, and students) to the Centre Universitaire des Saint-Pères in Paris’s 6th arrondissement for three days of conferences and discussions.
For this new edition, 12 sessions, 3 workshops, and 3 seminars are organized around a wide range of themes and feature speakers from diverse backgrounds. Topics include innovations in public health practice, psychosocial factors in the workplace, COPD: early diagnosis of an underdiagnosed disease, cognitive health and aging, and job seekers: the forgotten ones in healthcare… All these topics will be explored in depth over the course of these three days.
Thursday, June 6, will be dedicated to seminars during which topics such as ethical considerations in public health initiatives, effective early prevention interventions at home by maternal and child health services (PMI), and the exceptional vaccination campaign in Mayotte in 2018 will be presented and discussed.
Representatives from Santé publique France and numerous external speakers, including French and international public health experts, will be on hand to address current issues and demonstrate how their expertise is applied to public policy.
A “Late Breakers” Session
For the second consecutive year, a last-minute session is being organized. Its goal: to present, in 15 minutes or less, a recent public health news item or significant development: health alerts, study or survey results, new developments in prevention and health promotion, proven initiatives, innovative measures… About ten topics have been selected for this 2019 edition.
