Key Points

Bronchiolitis in Children Under 1 Year of Age

  • Bronchiolitis indicators were on the rise through week 39 of 2026, but remain at low levels of activity typical for this time of year. RSV is detected sporadically, but other viruses capable of causing bronchiolitis are actively circulating, particularly rhinoviruses.

Flu-like Illnesses

  • Influenza activity is at baseline levels in the region.

COVID-19

  • As in the same period of the previous two years, syndrome-based indicators for COVID-19 have been rising in recent weeks. Activity in community settings and emergency departments, although on the rise, remains lower than in the past two seasons.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Visits to emergency rooms and SOS Médecins consultations are fluctuating at levels typical for this time of year.
