Mortality 

• The number of deaths observed in S23 was 1,269, which was equivalent to the expected number of deaths (n = 1,289). People aged 65 and older accounted for 81.3% of the deaths.
• This number was 1,234 in S24, slightly lower than the expected number of deaths (n = 1,280).

COVID-19 

• SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater: The level of SARS-CoV-2 circulation in wastewater continued an overall trend toward stabilization in S25. The intensity of viral circulation remained low.
• The number of SOS Médecins calls and emergency department visits for suspected COVID-19 remained stable at low levels for several weeks.

Smallpox B (mpox)

• The weekly number of smallpox B cases in Île-de-France increased during April, followed by a decrease in May and relative stabilization during the last weeks of June. 
• Although the figures remain significantly lower than those observed in 2022, 2026 has been marked by an increase in the circulation of smallpox B, likely associated with the emergence of clade Ib, requiring heightened vigilance during the summer months.

Chikungunya, dengue

• Imported cases: 51 cases of dengue, 8 cases of chikungunya.
