Guadeloupe: The Maternity Record Places the Mother and Her Child at the Center of the Care Process [Interview].

The maternity record enables coordinated prenatal care by the various healthcare professionals involved. As a tool for sharing information in obstetrics, it facilitates seamless coordination between hospital and private healthcare professionals, maternal and child health services (PMI), and paramedical staff. Such a system is particularly useful in Guadeloupe, given its archipelagic geography, where patients live in remote areas or on islands with lower medical coverage.
