COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélemy as of December 22, 2022

Guadeloupe

  • Since Week 49, incidence and positivity rates have been declining in Guadeloupe. However, SARS-CoV-2 transmission remained active in Week 50.

  • The 60–69 age group was particularly affected, with an incidence rate of 239 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Hospital indicators remained relatively stable in Week 50.

Saint Martin

  • In Week 50, four more people tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 compared to the previous week, against a backdrop of a 12% increase in testing. The positivity rate stabilized in Week 50.

  • No admissions or hospitalizations were recorded in Week 50.

Saint Barthélemy

  • With testing rates down 28%, 11 people tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in week 50. The positivity rate, however, rose by 7.6 percentage points.

  • At the hospital, the situation remained favorable in Week 50.
