COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Martinique as of December 11, 2020

Key Points

The SARS-CoV-2 epidemic continues to subside, as shown by all epidemiological surveillance indicators. Last week, the positivity rate and incidence rate, calculated based on RT-PCR and antigen tests, were below the vigilance threshold (5%) and the alert threshold (50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), respectively. The incidence rate was approaching the vigilance threshold. The levels reached are comparable to those recorded in early August. This decrease applies to all age groups. The 45–64 age group had the highest incidence. The number of hospitalizations for COVID-19, including the number of ICU admissions, remains stable compared to the previous week.
