COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Martinique, December 4, 2020
Key Points
The SARS-CoV-2 epidemic continues to subside, as shown by all epidemiological surveillance indicators. Last week, the positivity rate and incidence rate, calculated based on RT-PCR and antigen tests, were below the vigilance threshold (5%) and the alert threshold (50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), respectively. The current levels are comparable to those recorded in August. This decline applies to all age groups. The 15–44 age group had the highest incidence, particularly the 30–39 age subgroup. The number of hospitalizations for COVID-19, including the number of ICU admissions, was also on the decline.
