COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Martinique as of January 15, 2021

Epidemiological indicators for SARS-CoV-2 in Martinique show that the epidemic has remained stable during this first week of 2021. The incidence rate remained below the alert threshold; the positivity rate remained below the vigilance threshold. The highest incidence was recorded in the 15–44 age group and, within that group, among those aged 20–29. An increase in incidence was observed among young children (0–9 years). In hospitals, the number of new admissions for COVID-19 remained low, and the number of hospitalizations was decreasing compared to the last week of December. As of today, 2 patients are in the intensive care unit. In the community, COVID-19 activity remained low.
