COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Martinique as of September 23, 2022.

  • Week 37 saw an increase in COVID-19 epidemiological monitoring indicators. This increase comes as schools and universities in Martinique have resumed classes.

  • The incidence rate rose by 23%, while testing volume increased by 14%. The positivity rate also rose by 1.5 percentage points.

  • The highest incidence rate was recorded among those aged 30–39. The 7-day rolling effective R (from September 11 to 17) was 1.02—95% CI [0.95–1.10], not significantly higher than 1.

  • At the hospital level, an increase in indicators was also observed. However, the number of new admissions to intensive care and the number of new deaths remained stable in week 37.
