Dengue Fever in the Caribbean. Update as of July 26, 2024.
Key points
Guadeloupe
The epidemic that began in July 2023, linked almost exclusively to the DENV2 serotype, is now over.
The epidemiological situation corresponds to Phase 1 of the PSAGE dengue protocol: sporadic cases and isolated outbreaks with no epidemiological link(s).
Although epidemiological and entomological surveillance indicators have returned to levels equivalent to those observed during the pre-epidemic period, vigilance must remain high, particularly due to the identification of the DENV3 serotype in recent weeks.
Martinique
In Phase 1 of the dengue PSAGE: sporadic cases and isolated outbreaks or outbreaks with no epidemiological link(s).
Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin
In Phase 1 of the PSAGE dengue response plan: sporadic cases and isolated outbreaks or outbreaks with no epidemiological link(s).
