Dengue Surveillance in Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands. Update as of May 7, 2020.

Epidemiological Situation

Guadeloupe: ongoing epidemic. The predominant circulating serotype is serotype 2. Since early April, the estimated number of clinically suspected dengue cases seen in private practice has been declining but remains above the epidemic threshold.

Saint Martin: ongoing epidemic. The predominant circulating serotype is serotype 1. Dengue surveillance
indicators remain high, with an increase in the number of biologically confirmed cases and the number of emergency room visits for dengue observed over the past two weeks.

Saint-Barthélemy: resurgence of biologically confirmed cases. The predominant circulating serotype is serotype 2. Dengue surveillance indicators show active circulation of the dengue virus in the territory. A reassessment of the PSAGE phase, in coordination with the CEMIE, is underway.
