Dengue Surveillance in Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands. Update as of October 16, 2020.
Epidemiological Situation
Guadeloupe: The weekly number of outpatient visits has exceeded 1,000 for the second consecutive week. The entire archipelago is affected by this intensifying resurgence of dengue cases. Since the start of the epidemic (late 2019), one death directly linked to dengue has been reported. Serotype 2 remains the predominant circulating serotype.
Saint Martin: An upward trend in the number of clinically suggestive dengue cases has been observed over the past two weeks (2020-40 and 2020-41). The epidemic continues. One death has been reported since the start of the epidemic (early 2020). The predominant circulating serotype is serotype 1.
Saint Barthélemy: Dengue surveillance indicators are declining but remain at high levels. The current epidemic continues to spread. The predominant circulating serotype remains serotype 2.
