Dengue Surveillance in Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands. Update as of October 24, 2019.

Epidemiological Situation

All dengue surveillance indicators continue to rise.
The island of Marie-Galante is particularly affected by this seasonal resurgence. It accounts for a significant proportion of clinically suggestive cases seen in private practice and 30% of biologically confirmed cases recorded since mid-August.
The number of clinically suggestive dengue cases reported by the network of private general practitioners has exceeded the epidemic threshold for the third consecutive week. Two new outbreaks have been identified in Baie-Mahault (Calvaire) and Le Gosier (Saint-Félix).
The epidemiological situation is therefore being closely monitored, with 59% of municipalities affected and a situation of grave concern in Marie-Galante.
