Dengue Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of December 10, 2020.

Key points

Martinique

Surveillance indicators from recent weeks show a very significant slowdown in viral circulation in Martinique, although the estimated weekly number of clinically suspected dengue cases still exceeds epidemic thresholds. This number is 90% lower than the estimated number of cases at the peak of the epidemic. The epidemic therefore continues to subside. Despite this lull in the epidemic, it is important to remain vigilant and continue taking preventive measures: eliminating breeding sites, using personal protection such as repellents, and utilizing mosquito nets and electric swatters. Martinique remains at Phase 4, Level 1 of the PSAGE dengue alert system: confirmed epidemic.
