Dengue Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of May 7, 2020.

Epidemiological Situation

All epidemiological surveillance indicators confirm an upward trend in dengue virus circulation in Martinique. In particular, during weeks 2020-16 and 2020-17, the weekly number of biologically confirmed cases and the number of clinically suspected dengue cases reached their highest levels since the virus’s active re-emergence in 2019. Furthermore, the spatial distribution of biologically confirmed dengue cases indicates a concentration of this circulation in the southern and central municipalities of Martinique.

The Technical Committee for Dengue Monitoring will be consulted to assess the dengue situation in light of the PSAGE phases.
