Situation Analysis

Epidemiological indicators show that over the past two weeks, gastroenteritis activity has returned to levels consistent with seasonal expectations in Martinique. The outbreak, which ended in week 2013-08, lasted 12 weeks (S2012-49 to S2013-08) and involved 13,600 cases. The SOS Médecins association conducted 814 visits for gastroenteritis, and more than 200 visits to the MFME pediatric emergency department for diarrhea were recorded.
