Influenza Surveillance in the Caribbean. Update as of June 2, 2022.

Guadeloupe:
Flu activity in primary care increased in week 21, as well as in hospital emergency departments. This was documented by the high detection rate of the influenza virus by the university hospital laboratory in weeks 20 and 21. Two severe cases were reported by intensive care units.
Martinique:
In week 21, an increase in influenza activity in primary care was recorded. In pediatric emergency departments, 3 visits were recorded compared to 6 the previous week. No severe cases were reported by intensive care physicians. The predominant circulating virus is the AH1N1pdm09 strain.
Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin:
The epidemiological situation regarding influenza remained calm.
