Influenza Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of April 11, 2019.
Epidemiological Situation
In Martinique, indicators of influenza activity have remained generally stable for the past two weeks. Since the start of the epidemic (mid-January), 14,250 people have consulted a general practitioner for flu-like symptoms. The epidemic peaked in mid-February. The predominant virus isolated is type A, both in hospitals and in private practice. Thirteen severe cases hospitalized in intensive care have been recorded, three of whom have died.⇒ Stable epidemic
