Influenza Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of March 11, 2020.

Epidemiological Situation

The rise in influenza surveillance indicators across the region continues in both community healthcare settings and hospitals. Eight patients hospitalized in intensive care and confirmed to have the A (H1N1)pdm09 virus have been reported; five of them have died.

Santé publique France Antilles reminds the public that preventive measures remain in effect: wash hands regularly with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, cough or sneeze into your elbow, use disposable tissues, and wear a disposable mask if you have flu-like symptoms, especially when in contact with vulnerable individuals.
