Situation Analysis
All epidemiological surveillance indicators point to the epidemic continuing, although it is currently in a phase of slow decline. This epidemic remains widespread throughout mainland Guadeloupe and the nearby islands. The predominance of DENV-4, observed since June, continues to this day. This serotype had not circulated in Guadeloupe since the 2005 epidemic. The situation remains at Phase 4, Level 1 of the Psage Dengue* (confirmed outbreak). Given the epidemiological situation, it is important to remember the importance of eliminating larval breeding sites and protecting oneself against mosquitoes. In the event of sudden onset of fever, it is recommended to consult your primary care physician.
