Situation Analysis
All epidemiological surveillance indicators point to the continuation of the epidemic, with viral circulation remaining generally stable since the beginning of August. The very slight decline in certain indicators observed during the second half of August has therefore not been confirmed. No unusual severity has been associated with this epidemic so far. The predominance of DENV-4, observed since June, continued in August. This serotype had not circulated in Guadeloupe for several years. The situation remains at Phase 4 Level 1 of the Psage Dengue* (confirmed epidemic). Given the epidemiological situation, it is important to reiterate the importance of eliminating larval breeding sites and taking personal precautions against mosquitoes. In the event of sudden onset of fever, it is recommended to consult your primary care physician.
