COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes as of July 15, 2021

In Week 27 (July 5–11, 2021), the spread of SARS-CoV-2 accelerated in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The regional incidence rate rose sharply (+63%) to 26 cases per 100,000 residents, below the national incidence rate (40 per 100,000). Initially driven by younger people, this upward trend is now spreading to all age groups, particularly adults aged 30 to 49. The regional positivity rate (0.9%) is rising slightly. The testing rate has increased by 15%.
