The Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region experienced two heat waves during the summer of 2024. The heat’s impact on health resulted in 201 heat-related deaths over the course of the summer. Additionally, there were 1,058 emergency room visits (746 of which led to hospitalization) and 89 SOS Médecins calls for iCanicule.
