The Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region experienced two heat waves in 2023. The impact on public health resulted in 62 SOS Médecins emergency calls, 299 visits to emergency rooms (183 of which led to hospitalization), and nearly 300 heat-related deaths over the course of the summer.
