Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of December 1, 2022.
Key Points
COVID-19
COVID-19 virological and hospital indicators are rising in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
The epidemic trend (TAG only) is increasing in week 47, as is the positivity rate. This trend is consistent with indicators for all tests combined (TAG and RT-PCR available) and with the overall trend described for France.
The low number of sequences for Flash surveys in weeks 44 and 45 makes interpretation difficult (n = 32 and n = 8, respectively) compared to 127 in week 43. However, the Omicron variant circulates exclusively in the region, with the BA.5 sublineage predominating (across all sublineages), as in the rest of metropolitan France.
Influenza
Increased influenza-related activity in emergency departments and SOS Médecins associations in week 47, though not yet at epidemic levels
3 reports of clusters of acute respiratory infections in long-term care facilities
One severe case of influenza admitted to intensive care was reported by the intensive care unit sentinel network
Bronchiolitis
The region has been in an epidemic phase for 7 weeks
Continued increase in emergency department visit rates for bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age, at particularly high levels
Decrease in SOS Médecins activity this week, which remains higher than in previous years
