  • Variation in incidence rates by department, ranging from 181.4 per 100,000 in Nièvre to 306.1 per 100,000 in Doubs

  • Variation in positivity rates by department, ranging from 5.8% in Nièvre to 9.5% in Jura

Surveillance in urban areas

SOS Médecins: 560 suspected COVID-19 cases per 10,000 medical procedures (Week 51, 620 in Week 50)

Hospital surveillance

  • Réseau Oscour ®: 399 suspected COVID-19 cases per 10,000 visits (Week 51, 406 in Week 50)

  • SI VIC: 1,767 people hospitalized, including 173 in intensive care as of 12/23/2020

  • Intensive care sentinel services: 72% men, 69% aged 65 and older, and 89% with at least one comorbidity

Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes

  • Since March 1, 16,719 confirmed and probable cases among nursing home residents (including 1,397 deaths) and 9,065 confirmed and probable cases among nursing home staff

  • Active transmission in long-term care facilities: still a significant number of reports

  • High number of deaths

Mortality surveillance

  • Excess mortality persists in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté for week S50.

Winter epidemics

Flu

Flu-related activity at SOS Médecins and emergency departments is currently low.

Bronchiolitis

The percentage of bronchiolitis cases among diagnoses in children under 2 years of age is currently declining compared to figures observed during the two previous seasons, both for SOS Médecins and for emergency departments.

Gastroenteritis

The percentage of gastroenteritis cases among diagnoses made by SOS Médecins and hospital emergency departments is currently well below the rates of the two previous seasons.
