Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of February 16, 2023.
Key Points
COVID-19
In Week 06, the decline in SARS-CoV-2* transmission continues in the region.
The decline in the positivity rate (PR) continues this week (though less pronounced than last week) (PR = 4.2%, down 0.3 percentage points from the previous week). The positivity rate ranges from 3% (Jura) to 6% in Yonne (where it is trending upward).
Since May 2022, the Omicron variant has been circulating exclusively in the region, with the BQ.1.1* sublineage currently predominant. Since the Flash S03-2023 survey, an increase in detections of the XBB.1.5 recombinant and BA.2 sublineages has been observed in the region; this trend is similar to that observed in mainland France.

Post-epidemic phase.
In the post-epidemic phase for the second consecutive week, activity related to the bronchiolitis epidemic among children under 2 years of age remains stable at SOS Médecins clinics and in emergency departments.

27 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care reported by the intensive care sentinel network.
