COVID-19

Epidemiological indicators tracking the COVID-19 epidemic show that SARS-CoV-2 continues to circulate at high levels in our region, with a prolonged impact on mortality.

  • In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, during Week 01 (January 4–10, 2021), 7,922 people tested positive; the incidence rate was 284.7 per 100,000 inhabitants, and the positivity rate was 8.8%. These indicators are higher than in Week 53.

  • In Week 01, the positivity rate reached 10.6% in Doubs, 10.1% in Jura, 9.7% in the Territoire de Belfort, and 9.0% in Haute-Saône (Source: SI DEP).

Winter Epidemics

  • Flu: Flu-related activity at SOS Médecins and emergency departments remains low

  • Bronchiolitis: Bronchiolitis-related activity among children under 2 years of age has increased slightly for SOS Médecins compared to last week

  • Gastroenteritis: The percentage of gastroenteritis cases among diagnoses made by SOS Médecins shows a marked increase in week 01/2021, while hospital emergency room visits remain below the rates observed during the same week in previous seasons.
